A friend of mine, Brittany, offered to hold an online fundraiser for Owen’s fund. We’ve been friends for about four years now … where does time go? We met through Kohl’s … we both worked in the same department. After she transferred to another department, we kept in touch by having lunch every day. We’ve been to each other’s weddings, celebrated and shared bad days. Recently it’s been tough to stay in touch with both of our crazy schedules. But I love her all the same and think about her a lot.
Brittany is holding a Jewel Kade online fundraiser. She just recently became a stylist for Jewel Kade. The jewelry line is all about chains and charms. I ordered a necklace and bracelet just before Owen got sick. One of the charms was an owl … low and behold, the saying on the back of the charm is “Someone to watch over you.” Gives me chills 🙂
